We found no peace under a broken sky

After the defenses were breached

the aurora lit a signal to the dogs of war

The flame spoke of a place beyond the stars

and we listened to those whispers as the war came

Our eyes were watching the high mountains

our hearts left bleeding in a homeland lost to night

our hands outstretched against the onslaught

and our souls lost far above

longing for the sky to fall
