Into a great black silence go the seekers
who left their voices behind with the temptation to speak out
happy to listen to the wisdom spouted here
let the emptiness they find fill the gaping hole
created by the last to leave
The one they watched walk away and said nothing
only chose silence as their god to worship
and now bathe in it
digging a grave in sand
and certain that this is where they belong
even though they can never dig it deep enough to lay in

I have such serious respect for people who are able to freely admit when they were wrong.

I can’t imagine being right all the time, my head would be huge! Besides, what fun is being right if you aren’t wrong once in the while?

Agreed! Would drive me crazy never having the chance to learn something new.

A powerful write. As I’ve always said, “Silence chooses too.”
