Marooned

Carried by a single breath across the sky

watching time pass as ocean waves below

that cast marooned souls ashore

to be buried in the sand

already forgotten long before the sky breaks

and freefall takes hold

Then back to a world sleeping or dead

rushing through mirage

to wake again and believe once more

that the hallucinations are real

Every day I become more suspicious that we’re all playing parts in a farce that has no script.
