In among the simulacra
tangled with light
and the threads of simple lies
stumbling over tripwires set to wake the others
This is a search that cannot end
down through a labyrinth
that might be swept away by an errant breath
A feeding ground for itself
each end gnawing on the other
the whole reaching deeper into the reality it forged
burrowing toward some hope of escape
from the world that gave it life

The world hasn’t always been this way, so it doesn’t have to continue being this way.

Love a good thinker, especially when it sounds good.

I just used the imagery of the ouroboros in a poem the other day, it’s such a powerful image.
