What We Aren’t Saying

Faces laughing, awash in a bloodred glow

Whispered truths lost beneath the conversation

Glimpses away into secret places

where voices are swallowed by silent winds

and nothing but memory can escape

All around us the twilit ones are walking

their hands extended, eyes full of desire

longing for us to follow them into moonlit worlds

where out among winds that cannot touch us

our voices will speak of secret things forever

The Martian Chronicles needs a movie made out of it. Actually, it should be a miniseries. It would be incredible to see the world Ray Bradbury created come alive.
