I saw you as you once were
a reflection in a blade raised against the night
a being of moonlight in a distant world
smiling to yourself at some mystery
a smile that belonged out among the stars
With that blade I might open a vein
and ride a river of blood to you
but the night is a cruel fiend
and the darkness leaves me cowering
aching to cross the uncrossable and find you
whispering secrets of the passage
On the current of some distant sunrise
we will drink our fill of starlight
gaze out across ancient gardens
and plan together a new journey
beyond even the realm of strange gods
to find what kingdoms they left abandoned
and cast our shadows on a field of vacant worlds

Have you ever had a recurring dream? What would happen in it? Did it ever stop?

When I was married I dreamt of drowning. Now I don’t dream much.

Scary stuff! Good that it stopped though.

I dream of being up very high on a roof or platform or something, and I’m looking over the edge at a chasm. I never fall. This dream continues.

When I was young I always dreamed of my mom falling down a manhole and I couldn’t find a rope long enough to save her. It was recurring for quite a few years and then it just stopped.

Wow, that must be a scary dream to have at any age, but especially as a child…

It’s nice when we can grow out of our bad dreams but it doesn’t happen for everyone

I dream I can do magic, and I can fly. Usually they are in the same dream, but not always.

I am a dreamer and can remember nearly every dream I have ever had, even as a young child. I have had reoccurring dreams over the years. One dream I had when I was 18 or 19, was always of a bear that would attack and kill me, I would wake up as I died. I began to fight back in my dream. Each night I would fight a little better but would always die. Until one night, I defeated the bear. I never dreamed it again.
