Test Readers Wanted – Inquire Within

Hey everyone,

First off, I hope all of you reading this are safe and healthy. I recently (half an hour ago as I’m typing this) finished editing the second draft of a story I’ve been writing off and on for coming on five years now. I’ve now reached the point where I’ve read through and rewritten it backward, forward, and sideways so many times that there’s no way I can be objective about the things that need fixing anymore. So I’ve decided to put out the call for anyone who is willing to be a beta reader.

If you’re willing/interested, you can comment or use the Contact page on my blog to send me an email, and I’ll share the manuscript with you digitally. Here is some information about the book:

Working title: Sárn

Length: 69,000 words

Genre: Dark fantasy

Pitch: A young boy survives a massacre that claims the lives of his parents and grows up in hiding, planning his revenge on the power-hungry Council who ordered the killings.

Stay safe, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and keep taking care yourselves!

Best,

Mitch

No poem today—my brain is fried from the final push to get the editing done. Back at it tomorrow!

  1. That’s cool. I am finishing up my own book, too. I have been at it for a while. I find self-editing a hard and often unsuccessful process too. If you have the extra cash you could also always try Fivver. There are freelancers on the site that beta read and edit. some are even professionals.

  2. I’m a little late but if you’re still looking for readers, I’d be willing to give it a look. Sounds interesting! Otherwise, I’ll just buy the book when it eventually comes out.
