Insanity is searching for ten different ways to do the same thing
before ever trying any of them
and knowing beforehand that they all will fail
so you end up just sitting there staring
at this to-do list from Hell
paralyzed by the sense that there is something here
to be responsible for
because wouldn’t it be better
just to ride out this cresting wave of existence
knowing that one day the tide will pull back
and so until then just ignoring it all
and instead lying on your back in the grass
trying to see beyond the infinite reaches of the sky?

Boy that piece will resonate with most of us I believe. On my bucket list is publishing a book of poems and going to Europe one more time with my husband. Perhaps the biggest item is to move onto ten acres of land where we can get a smaller home, and I can have goats. I love goat cheese and I also like goats. Love and hugs to you my friend. Joni
