Hope Springs Eternal

Taste of the hope which springs eternal

though it flows in caverns deep within

an earth bent low beneath the weight

of its yearning for the wild beyond

And here in its hidden places we wait

wondering at what might answer the call

Better lost in shadow than shaped by the light

this world spinning in darkness

cloaked in endless solitude

as all together our eyes fall into the abyss

and the abyss stays silent and averts its gaze

Usually I like to include a little message here, or a question for my readers. But I really don’t know what to say anymore.

  1. I look forward to your little messages at the end of each poem. Your poetry is so deep and then it’s a little back to reality. Please continue.
