If only the eyes that see fire

could feel the touch of flames creeping closer

If only they could feel the hopelessness

and see the only path forward

abandonment at the face of new life

If they who saw the shadowed realm of Hades

were to send for paradise

then all who long for a taste of freedom

would wait only for the final judgement of the dying soul
