The horizon becomes the world’s edge
falling away into shadowed lands
that beckon to the watchers
Come slip beyond dusk’s final stand
and find light unending here
slow drip of honey and diamond
and a river of morning’s nectar
meandering onward into days yet to come
After the brush strokes falter
and the colors above fade to gray
all of us here might finally lie down
beneath everything we tried to escape
and watch it there above us in crystalline splendor
rambling onward to the places we dare not go

This is such a lovely piece Mitch. I especially liked these lines:
“falling away into shadowed lands
that beckon to the watchers
Come slip beyond dusk’s final stand”
Hope you are having a good day my friend.
Yes, we will watch the debate although politics in this house is a dangerous topic. My husband gets so worked up. We are pretty liberal folks so the last years have been upsetting beyond words. We worry about our world.
Take care my friend. Hugs 🤗 Joni

I worry too. Every day seems to get stranger…

I know it does. We are fortunate we have our art to focus on for distraction. Sending hugs and love to you and your loved ones. 💕❤️Joni

No. The debate in my mind is hold my nose and vote for Trump vs. hold my nose and vote for Jorgensen, so this debate won’t change my mind about anything and isn’t worth my time.
