Suddenly the wind stops
sails fall empty against the mast
and over worlds unknown we drift
each with an abyss to fear
above, below, within
Silent and alone we long for the storm
happy to hear the screams again
if it means forgetting this silence
as our heartbeats are swallowed by the void

I feel like the answer has to be mountains. Nothing makes me feel smaller or insignificant than seeing giant mountain peaks.

The star lit sky while 🏕 recently. We were far enough away from city lights to see the Milky Way without aid. The immense number of stars was astounding!
