Where Silence Rules

Back where mist rolls off the mountainside

like exhaled sorrow

and where silence rules between each breath

a fragment lies discarded, half-buried

beside a river running swift through the valley

A piece of the sky, or of shattered bone

the last remnant lying where it fell so long ago

still holding on to the world that killed it

Sorry to have taken so long a break from posting without an explanation! I’ve been on a much needed vacation for the past couple weeks. It’s good to be back now though, and feeling refreshed. I’m looking forward to catching up on all the great posts I missed while I was gone.

Cheers all
