That was me
stumbling blind in darkness like no other darkness
the kind that would have reminded me of death
if I could remember it
This, the only way I know
to commune with something other than myself
stream of consciousness dammed up and overrun
falling as rain in reverse to drown the sky
above me lying in a circle drawn in sand
stitched once more into this dream of skin and bone
alive again, for a little while

Are there any books that you go back to over and over? Any that never get old for you?

The Hobbit is a favourite. As are any books with local folklore and tales.

I try to re-read The Lord of the Rings every year starting around this time (and sometimes I start with The Hobbit). It’s been a few years since I’ve done it so I’m really looking forward to it this time around.
