Whispering Rains

have you found a way out

of this prison flesh and bone

laid to rest neath summer’s gaze

in green fields far from home

a mind wandering through starry skies

the body left behind

to watch the changeling forest

the ashes in our mind

Whispering rains the unseen years

no trace of seasons lost

empty halls and broken tombs

a world of ash and dust

back again to a softer cage

a door without a lock

walls marked by one who came and went

who looked and never saw

Tried my hand at writing some more song lyrics.

  1. Where. Have. You. BEEN??🥲you’ve been sorely missed. Haunting piece as usual. Gives me the vibe of watching falling rain whisper softly on the ground while lost in your thoughts. 5 stars!
