Anyone can buy enough wood to build a throne
And sit upon it wearing a paper robe
Head bowed beneath the weight of a cardboard crown
The frozen wastes await your reign of iron fist
Call forth to the mountain for protection
Receive it as unscalable heights
Cry out for the ocean’s blessing
Brought forth from unknowable depths
With a world at your feet you may rule
Subjects who’ve forgotten the king that lived before you
No matter the crown, subjugation is the same
And soon their numbers you will send out
Into a world that has already tasted their coming
Over roads they’ve walked a thousand times
In an everlasting search for a new enemy

If it works, don’t change it. If it doesn’t, tear it down.

Sounds like you’ve got something on your mind. I’ll have to go back to this one again, there’s a lot there that applies.
