There
The one walking on broken glass
with eyes to the ground under a melting sky
See?
Walking a tightrope anchored to nothing
only sheer force of will keeps the abyss at bay
and always on the verge of giving in
silently singing songs of sweeter days
Hear that?
The wind responds with chaotic melody
refusing to make any sense to the world
only carrying on and on and on and on
in slow spirals out to forsaken lands
the last destination of those weary and broken
a graveyard for living souls and those who tend the flock

One of the worst parts about this disease is we can’t take to the streets against the inept buffoons who got us into this mess without spreading it further.
