The sun dawns a different shade of red
over this land, dead and reborn
Rivers run in new places, new paths
old scars cut deep and decaying
and slowly forgotten as the sky rolls over to night
The woodland grows wild out of the valley
and the hunter slips between shadows
setting traps for memory
little nooses swaying in the wind
waiting for the hangman to come fill them
or for the roots below to reach up high
take hold of that waiting death and drag it down
to bury it in dust at the bottom of a dry river

Anyone tried out a VR headset before? I’d love to get hold of one.

Really vivid imagery David a world healing from the lack of the masses hurting the beauty in the environment. “and the hunter slips between shadows
setting traps for memory
little nooses swaying in the wind
waiting for the hangman to come fill them
or for the roots below to reach up high
take hold of that waiting death and drag it down” your words are powerful David. Lovely piece and great writing from home. I looked up VR headset and saw lots of examples but I think you really have to know what you want it for and what applications you would use it for to get the bang for the buck. I haven’t a clue. We have never bought a gamer set up because we were afraid we would never leave the house. Kind of kidding here but I do hear that they are addicting. Good luck in your search and have a blessed time and continue to be safe. Love and hugs, your friend Joni

Thank you so much Joni! I hope we get there some day soon. (: there is definitely the possibility of it taking over your life! I’ve heard from some people that it’s unlike anything else, and can hijack your brain/senses to make them think you’re inside the game. Maybe one day they’ll have the headset indistinguishable from reality—who knows what would happen then!
