These answers lying in desert sands
justify the prayers of the fallen
Empty songs of desperate longing
screamed and heard by no one
written it in hieroglyphs
that spell the doom of all who lived here once before
The meaning is the same
and the voices fall flat
who read the funeral rites of ancient souls
fallen in warning of the horizon’s storm
who lie waiting for the the vengeance of a coming star

Amazing. Sends chills down to my soul…a fate that awaits us all one day.
…
My imagination is my vice, found in writings I dare not share…some of it sneaks through now and then.
Other vices — a good sangria, baked goods, hot cream tea and delicious food!

Thank you ! Those are all understandable vices. I say share out the things you keep hidden, but of course it isn’t up to me (; cheers

I have a hard time dealing with commitment. I always like to leave before the other person can have time to. Though there is a reason for my vice.

Commitment can be scary as hell. I imagine there is some history there? Not to probe into anything too personal, of course.

Yeah a long history of people leaving me and then me growing numb to relationships. That allowed me to just leave at will for any reason.

Well if it means anything, I’m sorry that happened to you. Numbness can be both a blessing and a curse in my experience.
