Time only for a breath before the plunge
then racing through nerve end passageways
needles of light sewing shut the wounds
left by a world of jagged edges
Glimpses of the waiting void
behind a curtain of sky and shadow
Born again to endless lives among the stars
every thought pleading for a way out
racing with all the rest
hoping to be the first to find a doorway
into the home of waiting gods

Interesting poem. I’m not sure what your thought process while writing was, but something about it calls to my mind an image of birth. Well done.

So many meanings! The one that’s striking me, is the broadcast drama reaching far through the universe.

That’s a great interpretation! I recently saw a representation of how far any radio signal we’ve sent from Earth has actually travelled into space, and it really isn’t that far at all… Makes me a bit sad to be honest. I hope we’re not alone!
