Crowded

There for a moment dead and gone

passing by, then into the crowd, obscurity

eyes of a fire lit by falling stars

and carried with the rising waters

carving landscapes in red clay

down to the sea from mountain roots

with hands deep in empty pockets

grasping distant worlds

Deadlights hang in trees along darkening paths

reflected in those passing eyes and gone

the opposite direction as the crowd closes in

  1. Your voice/your reciting really brought this piece to life. At first I read it. Then I listened to you. In hearing you, I received it a way I didn’t when I read it; I think I got it the way you intended it to be received. Good job!! Cheers, Dee
