It’s always raining here
a secret language falling steady
collected in stone basins
an offering to strangers passing through
on roads that disappear beneath the mountain
The rising lands lost in fog
silent, breathing in the sky and stars
that shine through the tattered storm
decaying there, just out of reach
their death throes
casting shadows for the wayward to follow

It starts. It promises. Then it stops. Why not explore it? express it?

Where do you live? Washington State ? 🙂 Yes, it is good. Heavy and dark.

I grew up in Washington! It definitely comes through in a lot of my writing–the rain and the gloom will always have a strange pull on my soul. Thanks so much! Cheers (:
