The air smells of rain
and the sea
Breathless in the wind
cold down to borrowed bones
that recoil from the horror
while a mind creeps ever closer to the knowing
that rages in skies above
I walk in the rain and am baptized
Even the pain is pleasure
Salvation lies naked in the dark
cold marble her bed
wishing the pillars would crumble
and let in the light of the moon
like they did once before

I found this in the notes on my phone from last July and realized I never posted it. Oops.
