Caught in a storm over paradise
screaming wind and acid rain
a cable through my skull connected to the sky
and all the rest just now coming online
to see a dream of the wasteland
the desert sands inching closer grain by grain
as we harvest wheat from a garden at its edge
Row upon row marching forth as one
into a land of digital gods
with nothing to show for the past
but memories sent through wires to the sky

Everything will change, if this lasts long enough. The old world is gone. Let the grieving stages begin.
