Magic Days

Sipping from a glass of daylight

I scooped out of the time passing by

Waiting for nothing to happen and eager for it

The sky above is alive

dancing with the clouds it carries

toying with rain that might fall in the evening

These are magic days

spent with memories of what is yet to come

held together by the moon and stars

who wait for darkness to fall

so they can paint the skies with an even greater light

I’m fully vaccinated against COVID-19! It’s been just over a year since the fear and uncertainty that came with the onset of lockdown, and looking back on it all I’m struggling to remember where the time went…

  1. Well done on getting vaccinated! I get my first vaccine tomorrow if all goes well! Your poetry is really a blessing to hear! Thanks for the info on the mike setup. It did get some very negative reviews but your poetry sounds great.

  2. Thank you for sharing. Both the beautiful poem and the news of your vaccination. The world needs positivity more than ever, and you have provided much in word form.

The poem was almost alive in my mind as I read it, flowing between space and this earthly realm. 😊
