once this fell roaring from the mountains violence in the shadowed vales and the forests mist-shrouded ever down through valleys haunted by the passing and come to air beyond the cliffs with still so far to go descending into mires and become deep and still and dark flowing on the scale of lifetimes gathering more souls for the last crawl when trees thin grasses dance windblown and a thing forgotten is remembered — —
