Something for eyes of the future to gawk at
as if those same eyes who saw sandstorms fall to the floor...
This bitter cup reminds me of what waits—
dissolution at the far off edges
where things fall apart...
Breathe with it all and everything comes alive
reaching up in worship to the sun and sky
and down into the circuitry...
Now, pay close attention, I’ll only say this once
Then the wind will sweep it away
And the universe will get one degree warmer.
How heavy the empty space lies over heaving ocean
And stars spark together who know nothing of constellations
